It'll soon be smooth sailing on the TransCanada west of Moose Jaw. Eighteen kilometres of westbound lanes, between Caron and Mortlach, will be resurfaced this summer.
"We're looking forward to that," said Palliser Member of Parliament Ray Boughen. "It's going to improve access to communities and save on vehicles’ wear and tear."
The $5 million in funding will be split between the federal and provincial governments.
"We're happy to match the federal funding so we can catch up with the infrastructure deficit we inherited," said Thunder Creek MLA Lyle Stewart.
"It's just a great thing to get this piece of highway fixed up, it's been pretty rough."
