The federal government's Regina Service Canada Centre for Youth offers a win-win situation for youth and Regina employers. The centre can help you find a job or it will help the job find you.

"We try to be the one-stop shop," said Ashley Kaczmar, lead youth services officer with the Regina centre for youth.

Kaczmar and other workers from the youth centre were at the Farmers Market in Regina on Wednesday for the centre's grand opening and to promote its services.  Kaczmar said workers were busy speaking to parents trying to help find their kids employment as well as employers looking to hire workers.

She said the centre will help people between the ages of 15-30 create resumes, cover letters and prepare for interviews.  She also said the centre points youth and students in the direction they need to get the proper education they need so they can get the job they want.

"We don't discriminate against the jobs that we post. We post jobs that require degrees and jobs that only need a Grade 10 education," she added.

Kaczmar said the centre promotes apprenticeship grants and also provides information on student loans. She said employers can post job listing for free on the centre's job bank website, which is www.jobbank.gc.ca.

For more information, Kaczmar said people can find her and other workers from the centre at the farmers market every Wednesday or at the centre at 1783 Hamilton St.
